Marlee Goodnight E-Portfolio

 

Growing up surrounded by makers and fixers gave me the ability to INTEGRATE and has proven very useful in my life.   My dad had a phrase that I just love and find as true today as it was when he shared it with the teenage version of me: "to do a job properly you need the proper tool".

My newest tool is my Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Studies focusing on Communications, Marketing, Writing and Literature. By growing my ability to communicate in creative and memorable ways I am able to create innovative new ways to share information. Earning my degree has helped me to share my passion to create while also using these skills to facilitate a variety of projects. It is validating that I can share the solutions I create with others.  In the past I used a silly term, “my yard sale ding ding” to explain that my instincts have kicked in as to a merging of needs and ideas to provide a solution to those needs...thankfully, my instincts have rarely failed me.  

Going forward I plan on using my life experience and degree to bring a solid understanding of the practical side of a need or issue. I will do this by implementing a solution and applying the updated skills I have gained while earning my degree.  My degree in Integrative Studies will help me to share my problem-solving skills in a way that facilitates discussion and interaction with all team members involved.  There is rarely a no, can’t happen when faced with a problem.
